The Grotto of Lourdes-Easter 2011

We visited The Grotto of Lourdes at Mt. Saint Mary's University the day before Easter. Dallas got his MBA here a couple of years ago, and if you're nearby, you should stop by. It's a beautiful place to contemplate the cross. I hope you find inspiration in some of these pictures!

"Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them. For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

"Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." Isaiah 53: 4-5
"Above his head they placed the written charge against him: THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS." Matthew 27: 37

We lit a candle for our brother(s) and/or sister(s) in Ethiopia

"Let the light of your face shine upon us, O Lord." Psalm 4: 6

"Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ." Galatians 1: 10

I often breeze through Matthew 11:28, but if we truly stop and consider these words. What does it mean to "Come to (Jesus)"? What does the rest that only He can give feel like?! I hope that if you're weary or burdened today, that you can stop, and go to Jesus. If he can take up our sin and shame and carry them on the cross, then he can take up our pain and burdens, too. Amen?!
